Our Story

Seattle Overland started as a straightforward car rental business in 2017, run by Chanrith and Jessica — lifelong Washington residents and outdoor people first, rental operators second. When the pandemic hit in 2020 and travel demand collapsed, most of the fleet had to go. Two Jeeps didn't. One got converted into a self-contained overland camper, built out with real camping gear instead of a stock rental setup.

Listed on Outdoorsy, that single Jeep didn't sit still for long — demand kept climbing, the fleet kept growing, and by 2022 Seattle Overland was official.

We don't just rent 4x4s — we build self-contained base camps, and we test every one of them on the same regional terrain our guests actually drive. If we wouldn't trust a rig to take our own family into the backcountry, it doesn't leave our lot.

Based in Seattle, we're a short drive from Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades National Parks — the destinations our fleet is built for and where most of our trips end up.

Six Jeep models, $209–$249 a night, every one running all-terrain tires and a full camp kit. Uncompromised capability. Zero prep. That's the whole idea.
