- •Hoh Rain Forest entrance lines can run 2+ hours on summer weekends — arrive before 8:30am.
- •Always check tide tables before hiking ocean beaches so you don't get caught by the incoming tide.
- •Take the Bainbridge or Edmonds ferry on the way out to skip Tacoma traffic.
- •Rain gear is worth packing even in mid-summer.
